Sugar Rush

The boy and I have a Gilt City addiction and a while back we purchased a deal for a “Choco-Holic Experience” at Dylan’s Candy Bar. Today we went in for a sweet Sunday indulgence and walked away with quite the haul.

With the deal, we each got a small tin to fill with the candy of our choice, four of Dylan’s chocolate bars, and a box of Dylan’s candy bar popcorn. To maximize our efforts we filled one tin with chocolate and the other with gummies. Sharing is caring!

We’re trying to pace ourselves but I’m not sure this will last us past Tuesday. So far we’ve done serious damage on the popcorn and the chocolate tin and have put ourselves into a sugar coma.

Even if you don’t have much of a sweet tooth, Dylan’s is worth visiting just to see this store. With locations in New York, Los Angeles, and Miami Beach each one will make you feel like, well, a kid in a candy store. It’s a fun a colorful environment filled with all kinds of classic and contemporary candy, as well as Dylan’s own creations. A few times when I’ve dropped by the LA store they’ve had a chocolate fountain display. Today was one of those days and I treated myself to a Twinkie drizzled in the fountain of chocolate. The NYC location has a café and bar that I plan to visit on my next trip to the city to try a candy cocktail.
