Costumes for Procrastinating Pairs

Whether you’re in a relationship or looking to dress up with a friend, here are a few options and inspiration for costumed duos. In addition to being procrastinator friendly, these are all ensembles with comfort in mind. No one wants to be the girl tripping in high heels or hiking up a strapless dress all night long. So if you’re going for funny, sexy, or clever, you can still be comfortable on All Hallows’ Eve.

  1. Aloha! Tacky tourists are fun and practical (don’t hate on the fanny pack!). Do you have any Hawaiian print or souvenir T-shirts? Put your man in jorts with socks and sandals you’re good to make memories on Halloween.
  2. Freshman year at USC was my first time wearing a sexy costume. Luckily, I realized as a Hooters girl I wouldn’t have to wear a strapless top or high heels and I could wear panty hose for modesty and warmth. Buy a shirt at your local Hooters, American Apparel shorts, and white sneakers. For your beau, spill some buffalo sauce on a white undershirt, add overalls, and top with a trucker hat. Oh and if you’re like me, a little padding helps.
  3. TV is a gold mine for costume ideas. 30 Rock is one of my favorite shows and Liz Lemon and Jack Donaghy are easy costumes for fellow TV nerds. With a button down, blazer, boot cut jeans, and nerdy chic glasses, you can tap into your inner Lemon. A classic suit and tie pairs well with a glass of Scotch and you’re ready to work at 30 Rock.
