One-Piece, Many Styles

When I was younger, I couldn’t wait for the day that I would be allowed to wear a two piece swimsuit. If I remember correctly, my first bikini was blue leopard print from the Mary Kate & Ashley Olsen collection at Walmart. It even came with a matching coverup of blue capri pants. Now, like most, I dread swimsuit season and have hopped on the one-piece bandwagon I was eager to abandon in my youth. I managed to swap some of my unwanted Lilly for Target items for the upstream print swimsuit. While that particular collection is long gone, there are tons of fun, young one-piece suits for any style and budget.

tribal_print_suitsI love these colorful tribal prints in various blues and greens. The first is a Forever 21 option for only $23,  Old Navy has a similar style for $40, and the Nanette Lepore from Lord & Taylor will set you back $140.

classic_patternsThese black and white ensembles are adorably classic and retro. The gingham Topshop suit is $68 at Nordstrom, the polka dots are $90 at Loft, and the mismatched plaid by Touche is $165 at Anthropologie

playful_printsThese prints are fun, but as we all know black is slimming. The Kate Spade New York flamingos are $151 at Bloomie’s, the Seafolly pineapples are $158 at Anthro, and the floral Tory Burch is $255 at Saks.

scallop_suitsThese scalloped high neck halter swimsuits are nearly identical, but drastically differ in price. The Target version is $45 (available in hot pink) while the Marysia is $315 (available in white). So instead of worrying about getting in shape for swimsuit season, get excited about which new suit you’ll be sunbathing in!
